Doctor Who Humor

First

Two things: one funny, one not so much

This is hilarious!  Care of Natalie Dee.

And now this:
The GLI almost got creamed on my way back from a pet sitting job not even 10 minutes ago. This elderly couple from Florida crossed 3 lanes of traffic from the interstate (probably ran the red light too). I even swerved into the turning lane and they still came with in an inch of hitting me. I thought it was over, that was it, they were going to hit me and I'd be killing this old man (or at least giving him a good tongue lashing!) I was extremely LIVID! And they jerk didn't even have the decency to wave sorry. Just kept right on going.

A strange occurance

So last night I needed to pick up a few things.  I was going to go to NonGhetto Lion but something told me to go to Wal*Mart (which I can't stand to go to).  So I did.  I parked in the Garden Center side for easy access and easy escape.  So I am headed towards the laundry detergent section when I suddenly thought "Man, it would be nice if Michelle and JW were here."  So I turn the corner and I see the back of a blonde girls head...Then I realize that it's Michelle!  I even saw JW standing there.  It was nice to see them!  ^_^
That was weird.  But what's even weirder was what happened today.
I was just getting back into the car from running errands.  I listen to an oldies station (Big 98) and some Three Dog Night song was just ending.  I suddenly thought about Just an Old Fashioned Love Song by Paul Williams.  The Personality came on (not sure who, I never get to listen at that time because of work - they listen to Kix 96...Guess what they play) and talked for a moment.  Then familiar piano...!  It's the song!  I did get a little creeped out.  o_O  I mean I love the song...
Oh well.
On a different note, I fixed up the clothesline in the back yard.  I figured it would save energy and money.  Yay me.

Video games post

As some of you may or may not know, the husband and I finally traded the Wii for a 360.  It wasn't because we didn't like the Wii.  The Wii is more of a party type of system and we have no friends in Savannah to play with.  The 360 however is nice for playing with people who are not sitting beside you (X-Box Live) but you can still talk to them while you play.  I play Uno with my friend Lance.  It's quite amusing because he always says "UNO!" when the game does.  Then there is this game, Viva Pinata.  I know it sounds like a child's game (it probably is) but it's a lot like another game on the DS I like, Animal Crossing (which I haven't played in probably over a year...).  You raise and breed Pinatas on Pinata Island and send them to parties.  I love the way one of the characters talks...

Weirdest picture I have ever taken in The Sims.  I can't even begin to explain what it is...
Well except that it is someone "playing" on the couch.
But how he can do flips like that is beyond me!

The Goo has a home

A guy who works closely with Paula Deen will be taking him.  I spoke with him and he already has another pug who he rescued.  So I am pleased this is a promising home, but I will be sad to see him go.  I do love the little guy!  Wish he would have worked out...

Old School Vs. New School: SPOILERS

I am a fan of the British Television show Doctor Who and have been for quite some time.  It started with my mum who was a fan when Tom Baker was the current incarnation (i.e. The Fourth Doctor).  She used to check the videos out of the Chattanooga library and watch them when I was a child.  So it began with Tom Baker.  Fast forward to my second year in college.  I met this absolutely wonderful lady named Paula who sparked my Doctor who obsession once more.  She was an avid fan of Peter Davison, but she did know of the other Doctors.  Other Doctors?  Of course I didn't know of other Doctors because my mum stopped watching when Peter Davison took over.  She didn't like him quite as much as she liked Tom Baker.  So of course I started to try to get to know the other Doctors.  I knew that the Doctor was a Time Lord.   Time Lords are from Gallifrey and can regenerate 12 times.  Thus 13 Doctors!  Our current incarnation is number 10 (And quite possibly the most handsome man I have ever seen!). William Hartnell was the First Doctor.  He ran 1963-1966.  He collapsed and regenerated.  I have the first few episodes on my laptop, but am unable to watch them with sound for some reason.  The Second Doctor was Patrick Troughton.  His stint lasted 1966-1969.  He was forced to regenerate after a trail on Gallifrey and exiled onto Earth.  That brings us to the Third Doctor, John Pertwee.  He was the Doctor from 1970 to 1974.  He drove a little car named Bessie and worked with UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce).  He got radiation poisoning and regenerated.  One of my favorites, Tom Baker was the Fourth Doctor.  Jelly Babies, a very long scarf, teeth and curls, and a robotic dog aptly named K-9!  As I said, he is among my favorites.  He ran a long campaign: 1974-1981.  He had many memorable companions such as Sarah Jane Smith, Leela, and both Romanas.  His reign ended when he fell from a control tower and regenerated.  The Fifth Doctor Peter Davison's stint was 1982-1984.  I remember him best from The Five Doctors, the 20th Anniversary special.  Though I did watch a couple episodes with Paula, I never really got into his incarnation.  He did wear celery on his lapel.  He featured in "Time Crash", a Children in Need special happening between series 3 and 4 of the "New" series.  He was exposed to a poisonous drug and regenerated.  Colin Baker took over as the Sixth Doctor from 1984-1986.  I don't know much about him except that he was actually a guard on Gallifrey in the Fourth Doctor's era.  He regenerated into the Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.  He ran from 1987-1989 (technically 1996...the show was cancelled in 1989!).  He was shot in San Francisco by a gang member and taken to the hospital where his bilateral cardiovascular system confused the doctors and they accidently "killed" him.  Perhaps because of the anesthesia he regenerated into the Eighth Doctor hours later, scaring the crap out of the mortician.  The Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann, was only portrayed (on the tele anyway) in the made-for-TV movie that was put out by FOX.  Apparently FOX was trying to start Doctor Who back up and failed.  Anyway, he was the first Doctor to break the "don't kiss the companion" taboo.  As far as how or why he regenerated we'll never know for sure but the Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston (I love his voice!) alluded to his "new face" in the first of the "new" series.  The "new" series started back up in March of 2005 (in Europe).  Christopher Eccleston's incarnation only lasted one short series.  In Series 1 we learned that the Doctor has lost his home Gallifrey in a Time War against the Daleks where he was the sole survivor because he ended it all destroying both the Daleks and his home.  At the end of Series 1, Rose absorbs the energies of the Time Vortex and destroys the Daleks (yes, they came back), brings Captain Jack back to life (almost permanently), and almost loses control.  The Doctor absorbs the fatal energies from her and regenerates in to the absolutely fantastic (^_^) Tenth Doctor, David Tennant.  Who remains, to this day, the current incarnation of the Doctor.  And absolutely beautiful, I might add...

Well, that was nice...

Let's see where I can take this...
