Sweet babies

Life may be more complicated, but it is much sweeter with these two following me around!

Here we are playing catch up! I thought that since I have a lap top and can connect to wi-fi that I would be able to post more. This is not so! I did not factor in the children. :) Well, let's catch up then!

This picture to the left here is about an hour or so before I gave birth to the little miss, now Little Miss Sunshine. :) Her given name is Deliah Eve (not De Li Lah but Dee Lee Ah). She is often called Sunshine, Dee, Little Bit. I'm still on the fence as to what we'll call her.

Isn't she just a doll baby?! Just look at that lip! She was born at 11:56 AM on 17 February 2011. It was an incredibly easy birth. I was induced (short story, started to have swelling, headaches, Doc suggested to go ahead and go for it) at 7:30 AM. She has been such a wonderful baby too!!!

Drake just adores her, and she adores him! They are so cute together.

The tornado on 27 April took out my childhood home that we had just moved into. Scariest moment, and I will never forget it. I'm devastated. To say the least. Also it was under-insured, and FEMA won't help because I was "renting" from my mom. >_<

We do have chickens though.

Pre-partum depression?

Call it hormones, but I have felt crummy all day. What really got me though was when I was reading some old notes from high school tonight. The ones an old friend and I passed. Oh they were pleasant before I began dating Travis. But once I started dating Travis, we became increasingly mean to each other. I blame Travis for his jealousy, of course, but I know that isn't the full truth. I am to blame as well because TJ was a true friend and I snubbed him. I did like him, and though he wanted to be more than friends, I couldn't see past him being a little on the geeky side. That or, like I did to the Husband when he asked me out, I feared that dating my best friend would ultimately ruin the friendship. In TJ's case I ruined it anyway. If I had continued to snub the Husband that way too, it would have ended our friendship as well. I realized something as I was reading those old notes: my husband is very similar to my old friend in so many ways. You know how Earl has his karma list? Well, at the top of mine is TJ. I want to get in contact with him somehow and apologize to him for how I treated him and how I felt back then. I was a fool for dealing with Travis and his jealousy (among other things) but I was an even bigger fool for treating a true friend the way I did. I was such a bitch in high school.

Blah!

I am almost over this "resting" I am supposed to be doing. I am not supposed to pick up my child (but I still do. The snow is to his knees! He can't walk to Nana's house.) or do housework. But since I am the only one who does it, when I don't do it, it piles up and I go crazy looking at it. I even did what few dishes didn't fit into the dishwasher. And I hate doing the dishes! I even made brownies tonight. I will be 35 weeks Friday, so my little miss will be ready to meet the world soon. I am ready...I am HUGE!!!

On a side note, the husband bought a Rabbit Truck to replace the Jetta. We got it home fine, but couldn't get it up the driveway. It's kind of funny now, since I was telling my mom that she wouldn't be able to get back up the hill. I hate winter.

On one more side note, I want caffeine free coke so bad I can't stand it!!! BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop
