14 weeks

In three weeks I get to find out the sex of Peanut.  I don't know how to feel about that.  Sometimes I don't really feel pregnant (even with this belly).  Maybe I was expecting something else.  Last night I think I might have felt movement.  Course I am not sure.  I'll see if I feel anything tonight.  I really want steak or pasta tonight.  We'll see if I end up with either!  Food food food...a bit hungry right now.  ^_^

Decision made

I will find out the sex of my baby.  BUT!  I will be taking bets on what my friends and family think it is!  I find out on January 12, which is one month from today.  Now to figure out how to go about this...

Pictures

Erin has reminded me that I have not posted pregnancy pictures.  So here we go.

These two are from the day we found out (or close to it...).  I was probably 5 weeks here.

And these were yesterday, so I'm 12 weeks.  My pants don't fit me anymore!  No jeans right now!

12 weeks

I am showing a bit.  ^_^
I thought my nausea was gone but I've had a couple bouts of it recently.
I am keen on fruit snacks.
My pants don't fit.
We put up our tree.  It looks nice.  We used the Grinch as our tree topper.  Fits us.  Most of the ornaments are Spiderman and Simpsons.
I broke an ornament.  Luckily not Spiderman or Simpsons.
I am glad for the days that I get to sleep in.
Can't find a pregnant yoga video T_T

Doctor update

Just came from the doctor.  Everything is well.  Heard heart beat again with doppler.  Next one in 6 weeks and we may or may not find out sex of Peanut.  Haven't decided yet.  Still no motivation to do anything.  Even knit.  Have to work though.

An Update!

We had an ultrasound yesterday.  Got to see Peanut moving around a lot!  The ultrasound confirmed that I am 10 weeks, not 12.  Peanut has doubled in size.  And I could see arms and legs and everything!  It was great.  And in the background Journey's Don't Stop Believing was playing...
It felt right...

Weekly posts

The husband suggested at least a weekly post to let you guys know what is going on with who I have named Peanut.  In case you guys (my imaginary readers) didn't know what I was talking about, Peanut is our future little one.  I'm about 9 weeks according to the ultrasound.  There is another ultrasound coming next week.  Right now I am dealing with fatigue, nausea, mood swings, among other symptoms.  And cravings, but not like I had expected.  The headache I am dealing with right now is getting to me, so goodnight until next time.

Things to do today

* Get my new glasses
* Walk some dogs
* Pay the light bill
* Get my ultrasound

Is that really all I have to do today?  Doesn't sound like much...

I really need to get to knitting, especially if I am going to make a blanket for belly baby...

I'm so excited

By tomorrow this time I'll be in the doctor's office.  I hope I don't get nervous, but I probably will...

So much to say

So little that can be said.  Ah, I am so tired of this secret; I want to scream it from the rooftop.  But that would not do.  I feel ashamed that I have kept it for so long.  I find the words difficult to grasp; nay, difficult to find.  Bah!  I have the will but not the way.  What am I to do?

Update

Beginning tomorrow night, I will once again be house sitting.  For almost a week.  Yes, it is at the same place, but she promised not to go crazy on me.  So we'll see.  I hope to get some reading and knitting done.  I'll barely see the hubby :( and that makes me upset.  I know my posts are never worth while.  So here is a picture.  Captain Jack and a baby!

Interesting

An old friend from high school who I haven't spoke to since his at-the-time-fiance' told me never to contact him again tried to contact me today.  Very interesting indeed.  I used to go to his family's band's shows, talk to his family, etc etc.  When he was about to marry that girl, his dad asked me to try to talk sense into him (but that was after she shut me out).  That was a few years ago; I wonder why he is trying to contact me now (other than they got divorced - which is probably the reason: he can have friends again).  Oh well, I am going to try my hand at Fable II.

I am ready to visit my parents.

I gained a sister!

It was the Brother-in-law's wedding this weekend and it was a blast!  I almost wish it didn't end but I was glad to get out of those heels.  I did have the idea that I need a better camera...oh well.  Will be posting pictures on Myspace and Facebook when I have time later in the week.  Did put some in Flickr.

Just a bit nervous

But with luck this weekend will go without a hitch.
Sere going to Doggie Hotel.
Staying at his mom's.
Their wedding is Saturday.
A co-worker's father-in-law is in ICU.  So I almost wish I wasn't already taking off this weekend.
OH!  And new book, Brisingr.  Very excited.
Crochet time.  Yay.

Now for some hard core ranting.

This is what really pisses me off.  Now this isn't aimed at all smokers.  I know some decent smokers.  This is for the ones who just plain don't care about anything.  They just flick their cigarette anywhere.  No regard for our environment.  No regard for people's property.  That's the hood of my Jetta.  My GLI.  Look how far down it burned on my car!  Now as to how this happened, I have a few ideas.  One is that someone deliberately lit a cigarette and placed it on my car.  Now the person who told me it was there could have put it there or she could be right about who's cigarette it is.  I don't know.  It could have been flicked over the fence and just happen to land on my car.  A person driving down the road could have flicked it out the window and it land on my car.  I don't know.
What is pretty funny is that as soon as someone saw me go through, holding the cigarette, she said it might be hers and the wind might have blown it on my car.  I didn't say anything to her about it first.  So I went to the boss lass and told her what happened.  Told her what chick said.  So she talked to chick, and now it's about whether chick's chap-stick is on the filter.  Whatever.  Check out this scorch mark that will never come out.

Here is a very cute kitten.
And here is my cat, once again, in a strange sleeping position.  Strange cat...

So

Instead of knitting, I am going to play the Sims.  I am doing this because I think I might get some knitting done next weekend while at the in-laws.  Can't read my book there.  I know the shitith will hitith the fan...ith.  My tattoo, plus this is the last of the children to get married.  Something has to go wrong I think.  But the major blowout will be over my tattoo.  Oh well, I've had it for years.  And the bride doesn't care that it will show.  Course it isn't the bride I am worried about.  She's cool.  Ah, I don't care.  Off to the Sims!

Welly Welly Welly Well

(Sorry, seeing Malcolm McDowell in Heroes last night got Lit'l Alex in my head)
It appears that I have extreme difficulty updating my blog daily.
Thing I have been thinking about:
* "The Usual"
* Comic books - there is one I have been searching for but can't remember the name of.  It is always at the tip of my tongue.  I know the title is the same as the name of the main character, and they're elves.  He had white hair.  The one I had also had a talking river rat.  Not sure why I want to find it so bad; maybe nostalgia.
* Yarn and projects: I wish I was as committed as some.  I just don't have the drive (or maybe it's that I don't have the time?).  I don't know.  Maybe I play too many video games.  Point is I have barely started the blanket and I have been working on my mom's scarf for a long time.
* Speaking of video games, we've pre-ordered Fable II.  Course we didn't play Fable, but that doesn't mean we didn't want to.  I am interested in the fact that your character's physical appearance changes with your actions (i.e. you do bad things you grow horns or whatnot).
* Home.  I miss it.   A lot.
* Medieval festival Saturday!  Very excited about that.

Oh and

* I really, really love my husband.  I don't mean to be sappy here, but I just don't know what I would do without him.  He means everything to me.  I am very happy.

Blah

I know I haven't posted (I am sure I heard you complaining! HA HA HA) but I do have some pictures to load up.  Plus I am going to my pet sitting job soon and maybe I will get some pictures of the dogs.  I do need to get some much needed Sims time in.  Maybe some Oblivion.  But I doubt it because once the husband gets home I can only assume we'll be going to Wal*Mart.  Maybe I can talk him into some lunch with a friend...

Wabbit needs home

This sweet little bun bun was dropped off the other day.  He really is a sweetie and I would have loved to get to know him better.  He needs a home though.  He is a neutered male.  I forget what breed he is, something like flop eared or something.  Comes with lots of stuff like food, cages, huts, treats, etc.  Some one take this sweet man!

Welcome To Another Edition...

Of Bruce Wayne in Weird Sleeping Positions.
This week: Hanging with the Vee Dubs!
Though since he woke up, would this be considered a sleeping position?
He also rolled over so I could get his other side.  Strange cat.

No updates

Sorry for no updates within the last two days.  I haven't even really be on the computer.  In a funk, really, thinking about Chattanooga, old friends, among other things.  I have a couple of girls here I consider friends but we are all so busy.
When I was in Chatty I had a friend that I would see almost every day.  In our downtime, after work, or whatnot, we'd just hang out, play video games, whatever.  I really miss that.
There is an old friend who lives right down the street from me now.  I never hear from him, never see him.  True he doesn't have a car, but still!  He is busy as well and has his own life to tend to.
Gee I am whiney.  Blah.
I am going back to cleaning/knitting/reading/whatever...

I hate it when...

something really funny happens and I say "Oh!  I've got to remember that!" and then I can't remember what it was!  Drives me crazy!
I have alpacas and yarn on the brain.  For some odd reason I really want to have an alpaca and make yarn from its fur!  Why????
Yarn, yarn, yarn...
I'm crazy.

I has a sad!

I have not gotten ANY knitting done!
I hate the new system at work and I hope it dies a horrible death!
I want to see my parents and friends in Chatty!

New things suck

Sometimes anyway.
We have installed a new system at work and so far I have had to fix it just about every day we've had it!!!  It is so frustrating.  And exhausting because I feel like I have been baby sitting again, except this time it's both a person AND a computer!  I almost feel like I really am needing an eye in the back of my head.  "Now don't you do that!"  "Stop that!"  "Don't do that, do this!"  GAH!  I am so tired!  Don't get me wrong, she is a big help answering the phones and such and the new system is better with credit cards (if we input the correct total) but certain things just bug me.
To other things, we now have our Hound Dog back so he needs a home people!  He really is the sweetest man!  Good with children!  He isn't on yet, but our (meaning Rincon's Unwanted Furry Friends) site does have the kitties we sponsor right now.

Soooo...

I am posting really quick before I get to knitting.
My cat is being uber attention whore right now.  He comes in the bedroom around 5 or 6 AM just meowing and if I don't wake up and pet him he will put his front legs on me and lie down or he will find my hand and just rub his head in it.  Weird cat.
Anyway!  I am very close to finishing my mom's scarf.  I have started one of the squares for the blanket.  I need to get the scarf finished then I can fully focus attention on my blanket.  It will be fun.  Other than that I seem to be having some major David Tennant withdrawals.  The Doctor will suit me fine if there would any on.  But for now, David in a kilt will do nicely.

A post a day...

I know I say this a lot, but I do really mean to this time.  I will try to get a post in once a day.  Whether it be to complain, to show off my yarn/projects, to lust over something, whatever!  I will try, try, try.
Ye be warned, however.  I am quite boring (as you can probably already tell) and not very witty.  These posts may drive you mad.
Oh, look!  Camo yarn!

I am knitting today.  No video games (though Oblivion is truly calling my name right now).  I've watched The Mummy twice already.  Batman is on right now.
Right now I've got a couple projects going.  This little guy is going to be  a square to the blanket I have decided to make.  A patchwork afghan-type-blanket-thing.
This shows one of the camouflage pieces that will be in it.  This is south Georgia, you know.  Because the piece is so small, however, it will look stripy, not the pooling camo we all know.  So I will have to make a bigger piece to get the effect I want.

I went to this thrift store down the street from my house the other day and got some yarn there for $2.  I am going back again on Friday for more.  The blanket I plan on making will include a camouflage piece in respect to my good friend Lance.  Not sure why he likes camo, but when I said camo yarn he said I had to buy it.  I had a basket so I put the yarn balls in it.  I might have taken this hobby (I am a hobby whore by the way) quite farther than the other hobbies...
Oh yes, and I have even thought of dying my own yarn once the husband makes lots of money.  Raising alpacas (Wes would love that) and dying and spinning my own yarn.  It's as much as a useless dream as my darkroom one. Le sigh...
Like I said, lusting...

Why am I like this?

Right now I am in such a bad mood.  Not that I want to talk about work all the time but I must get it out some how.  Anyway, we're installing a new processing system, so we not only had Regina and I, and the occasional tech bringing up paperwork, there were two other guys, and they took up an entire computer.  I was annoyed by it, but I wasn't upset yet at this point.  I felt confined and ill though.  One of those guys left, which made it better.  But the other guy was showing Regina how to fix a mistake because she had made one.  Well, in fixing her mistake, he made an even bigger one that I could not fix without calling the owner!  And when we found out his mistake, it was long after he had left.  I was so mad at him!  So he not only screwed up, but taught Regina wrong!  I could freaking do the guy's job!  I just don't have any patience right now for stupid mistakes.  I have to be very civil tomorrow since he is coming back.  But I have learned how to be civil anyway because of people I work with (one of whom by the way is not only smoking while pregnant but drinking too!).  I fear though it is getting harder and harder to be civil...

And another thing!  I AM NOT HELPLESS!  If I hear "you don't need to be doing that" one more time I will flip out.  Also, if you don't want me to be doing it, then effing react!  Sure that dog was a DOA, but we didn't know that at the time.  And yes, I hesitated - and RVT was standing there.  She really should have been the one to asses the dog's condition.  But she didn't move (because she was acting as office manager at that time?  Or because she was in her nice silk shirt?), so I did.  Sometimes time is a factor as to whether an animal lives or dies.  So it's not like I didn't give her (or another receptionist) a chance to get her first.  Lets see if we get a memo about it.  Oh and thanks to my informant for letting me know...
Oh well, something good about today....

...

There has to be something good about today!

I know!  The bird!  Calypso!  Cool bird!  It was a blue and gold macaw.  Must be the biggest and coolest bird I have encountered in my career (domestic anyway-we have had certain wild raptors come through).  It would say "What does a rooster say?" and you were supposed to crow.  But I wouldn't crow, even being a Peter Pan fan.  Thinking now, not sure why I wouldn't.  But when I asked it what a rooster says, he crowed!  He was really neat, I couldn't get enough.  Oh and here is a picture of what it looked like!

Ranting time

I am so tired of babysitting adults who should be able to handle things themselves.  I am extremely tired of people who do not do their job.  I am done with fixing other people's mistakes.  I am also tired of these stupid clients.  Right now I have a major Clerks mentality.
Randal Graves: You know who I can do without? I can do without the people in the video store.
Dante Hicks: Which ones?
Randal Graves: All of them.

I am definitely Randal right now.
Randal Graves: This job would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers.
Well, them and more.
Also, pregnant girls who smoke and complain all the time about being pregnant do not deserve to be pregnant.  If you don't fucking want a child you should have taken precautions to not even get pregnant!  There are people who cannot get pregnant or have been trying who would love to be in your position!  Get over yourself!
I am sorry.
I just had to get it out...

On a lighter note, I am really looking forward to the roast I made for dinner and a friend invited me to Tybee tomorrow.

BORING...

Other than my favorite sites, I cannot seem to be satisfied on the internet any more.  Especially when certain sites post updates once a week!  So today I will be doing the basic household chores and reading my new book.  Maybe even knit!  After pulling a muscle in my back the other day I should be resting.  I am still very confused that I got hurt.  I have lifted bigger dogs before and I swear I remember lifting with my legs.  Oh well, at least it isn't a kidney infection or anything.  I need to go back to walking/running.  I took several days off with the rain and with not feeling good and haven't gotten back into it.  :(  And it is way too hot for Serendipity to walk with me.
And I suppose I can leave you with a picture today.  The picture I leave you with is the clouds after Fay.  We drove the convertible (Leia) around and I was just snapping away.  I love this one...

Penny from 1897

The husband found a penny from 1897 at his work last night.  He also found a wheat penny, 1947 I believe.  I collect odd coins like that.  This 1897 is the oldest in my collection now.  Before this a 1920-something canadian penny was the oldest.  As I said I am VERY proud of this one.  Thanks Babe!

Edit August 29, 2008:  I did a little bit of searching and this penny is only worth about a dollar!  I don't really think any of the coins in my collection are really worth anything but I still love them!!!

:(

I really want to see and play with my nephew Cole right now.
I want to move back to Ringgold to be closer to my family.
I want to go back to school and finish.
I want to reduce my carbon foot print.
I want to go to the beach again.
I want to have a friend down here so I won't be so lonely.
I am asking too much.

It's been a little while

There isn't really a whole lot to say.  I was sick a few days.  I found an old friend that lives down the street from me, but he must be exceedingly busy.  Actually I am feeling sick now.  I am pretty obsessed with playing Oblivion.  After seeing a coworkers beautiful long hair last night I am now wanting to grow mine out.  No more dying it either although I would really love to be ginger.  Like I said, there isn't much to say....

Share and share alike!

Oh looky what I found!  A Dalek amigurumi doll!  This just keeps getting better and better!  I just need to get into actually crochet things.  I starting training....
Course it looks quite difficult...
You can knit amigurumi too.  But I've read crochet is better.  So... ^_^
Gosh I am such a geek right now....
Such a bloody geek watching Doctor Who and looking up future unfinished projects...

New linky

Okay, I know I may not be the biggest geek in the world, but I have my moments.  As I was searching for more future unfinished projects I found this site called Geekcrafts.  I love the amigurumi section...

Funny...I am more of a geek over yarn than I am over video games.

YES!

Oh this will be fun!  Once I master the basics of crochet and amigurumi, it's Bender the Bending Robot time!  Oh this will be lots of fun!

Friday, August 1, 2008

My my my

KnitPicks is having a 40% off book sale!  Oh my, you have no idea how bad I want some (almost ALL) of those books.  I think I might get into the Amigurumi craze.  That and afghans.  But I have to finish the current project before I move on to other projects.  I am quite like my dad: begin several projects and then never finish them.

My Nephew!!!!

Isn't he just too freaking cute!!!!  I could not get enough of him yesterday!  Sure he got fussy at times, but it really didn't bother me any.  I have a couple of videos that I might post.  We will see.  Might do some pics on flickr.

Sunday, July 20, 2008

Well now

This is Cyrus  (I know; it's a bad name isn't it?) and he will be Isabella's new beau.  He's staying here until my parents come get him.  I think he's great!
I am going to be in my brother-in-law's wedding in a few months.  I've never been a bride's maid before...
I need to clean, do laundry, etc etc.  I am lazy.
I find myself (as I often do) wishing I was more witty...

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Welcome to The Sims 2.  You can see Death there.  I am not sure why he decided to use "the basement" after killing the two girls who lived in the house.
Then there is the punk getting sprayed by a skunk (Hint: skunks do not like being watched.  They hiss and stuff like a cat apparently).
Then there is the penguin talking to the snowman about...math?
Then the ninja eating a Pop-Tart through her ninja mask.
Yeah, I am really messed up in the head, and jealous of Torrim's wit.

Doctor Who Humor

First

Two things: one funny, one not so much

This is hilarious!  Care of Natalie Dee.

And now this:
The GLI almost got creamed on my way back from a pet sitting job not even 10 minutes ago. This elderly couple from Florida crossed 3 lanes of traffic from the interstate (probably ran the red light too). I even swerved into the turning lane and they still came with in an inch of hitting me. I thought it was over, that was it, they were going to hit me and I'd be killing this old man (or at least giving him a good tongue lashing!) I was extremely LIVID! And they jerk didn't even have the decency to wave sorry. Just kept right on going.

A strange occurance

So last night I needed to pick up a few things.  I was going to go to NonGhetto Lion but something told me to go to Wal*Mart (which I can't stand to go to).  So I did.  I parked in the Garden Center side for easy access and easy escape.  So I am headed towards the laundry detergent section when I suddenly thought "Man, it would be nice if Michelle and JW were here."  So I turn the corner and I see the back of a blonde girls head...Then I realize that it's Michelle!  I even saw JW standing there.  It was nice to see them!  ^_^
That was weird.  But what's even weirder was what happened today.
I was just getting back into the car from running errands.  I listen to an oldies station (Big 98) and some Three Dog Night song was just ending.  I suddenly thought about Just an Old Fashioned Love Song by Paul Williams.  The Personality came on (not sure who, I never get to listen at that time because of work - they listen to Kix 96...Guess what they play) and talked for a moment.  Then familiar piano...!  It's the song!  I did get a little creeped out.  o_O  I mean I love the song...
Oh well.
On a different note, I fixed up the clothesline in the back yard.  I figured it would save energy and money.  Yay me.

Video games post

As some of you may or may not know, the husband and I finally traded the Wii for a 360.  It wasn't because we didn't like the Wii.  The Wii is more of a party type of system and we have no friends in Savannah to play with.  The 360 however is nice for playing with people who are not sitting beside you (X-Box Live) but you can still talk to them while you play.  I play Uno with my friend Lance.  It's quite amusing because he always says "UNO!" when the game does.  Then there is this game, Viva Pinata.  I know it sounds like a child's game (it probably is) but it's a lot like another game on the DS I like, Animal Crossing (which I haven't played in probably over a year...).  You raise and breed Pinatas on Pinata Island and send them to parties.  I love the way one of the characters talks...

Om nom nom nom

I have cookie dough.  I am also making a roast tomorrow.  ^_^

Weirdest picture I have ever taken in The Sims.  I can't even begin to explain what it is...
Well except that it is someone "playing" on the couch.
But how he can do flips like that is beyond me!

SIMS!

Yes, I am a weirdo...
But can you guess who this is?
Yes he is in his underwear...

The Goo has a home

A guy who works closely with Paula Deen will be taking him.  I spoke with him and he already has another pug who he rescued.  So I am pleased this is a promising home, but I will be sad to see him go.  I do love the little guy!  Wish he would have worked out...

Old School Vs. New School: SPOILERS

I am a fan of the British Television show Doctor Who and have been for quite some time.  It started with my mum who was a fan when Tom Baker was the current incarnation (i.e. The Fourth Doctor).  She used to check the videos out of the Chattanooga library and watch them when I was a child.  So it began with Tom Baker.  Fast forward to my second year in college.  I met this absolutely wonderful lady named Paula who sparked my Doctor who obsession once more.  She was an avid fan of Peter Davison, but she did know of the other Doctors.  Other Doctors?  Of course I didn't know of other Doctors because my mum stopped watching when Peter Davison took over.  She didn't like him quite as much as she liked Tom Baker.  So of course I started to try to get to know the other Doctors.  I knew that the Doctor was a Time Lord.   Time Lords are from Gallifrey and can regenerate 12 times.  Thus 13 Doctors!  Our current incarnation is number 10 (And quite possibly the most handsome man I have ever seen!). William Hartnell was the First Doctor.  He ran 1963-1966.  He collapsed and regenerated.  I have the first few episodes on my laptop, but am unable to watch them with sound for some reason.  The Second Doctor was Patrick Troughton.  His stint lasted 1966-1969.  He was forced to regenerate after a trail on Gallifrey and exiled onto Earth.  That brings us to the Third Doctor, John Pertwee.  He was the Doctor from 1970 to 1974.  He drove a little car named Bessie and worked with UNIT (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce).  He got radiation poisoning and regenerated.  One of my favorites, Tom Baker was the Fourth Doctor.  Jelly Babies, a very long scarf, teeth and curls, and a robotic dog aptly named K-9!  As I said, he is among my favorites.  He ran a long campaign: 1974-1981.  He had many memorable companions such as Sarah Jane Smith, Leela, and both Romanas.  His reign ended when he fell from a control tower and regenerated.  The Fifth Doctor Peter Davison's stint was 1982-1984.  I remember him best from The Five Doctors, the 20th Anniversary special.  Though I did watch a couple episodes with Paula, I never really got into his incarnation.  He did wear celery on his lapel.  He featured in "Time Crash", a Children in Need special happening between series 3 and 4 of the "New" series.  He was exposed to a poisonous drug and regenerated.  Colin Baker took over as the Sixth Doctor from 1984-1986.  I don't know much about him except that he was actually a guard on Gallifrey in the Fourth Doctor's era.  He regenerated into the Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.  He ran from 1987-1989 (technically 1996...the show was cancelled in 1989!).  He was shot in San Francisco by a gang member and taken to the hospital where his bilateral cardiovascular system confused the doctors and they accidently "killed" him.  Perhaps because of the anesthesia he regenerated into the Eighth Doctor hours later, scaring the crap out of the mortician.  The Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann, was only portrayed (on the tele anyway) in the made-for-TV movie that was put out by FOX.  Apparently FOX was trying to start Doctor Who back up and failed.  Anyway, he was the first Doctor to break the "don't kiss the companion" taboo.  As far as how or why he regenerated we'll never know for sure but the Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston (I love his voice!) alluded to his "new face" in the first of the "new" series.  The "new" series started back up in March of 2005 (in Europe).  Christopher Eccleston's incarnation only lasted one short series.  In Series 1 we learned that the Doctor has lost his home Gallifrey in a Time War against the Daleks where he was the sole survivor because he ended it all destroying both the Daleks and his home.  At the end of Series 1, Rose absorbs the energies of the Time Vortex and destroys the Daleks (yes, they came back), brings Captain Jack back to life (almost permanently), and almost loses control.  The Doctor absorbs the fatal energies from her and regenerates in to the absolutely fantastic (^_^) Tenth Doctor, David Tennant.  Who remains, to this day, the current incarnation of the Doctor.  And absolutely beautiful, I might add...

Well, that was nice...
